Royal Oak Hotel in Betws y Coed
The Royal Oak required websites for their 3 businesses: Royal Oak Hotel, Stables Bistro Bar & Stables Lodge. Although the three businesses needed to be marketed separately, as each has its own branding with a different audience and a different focus, the sites were designed with graphic motifs and page layout that defines the company's overall identity.
The main market is the leisure sector for all manner of different outdoor activities and short break getaways. With an audience differentiated by lifestyle and activity choice, the design for The Royal Oak Hotel should be classic to mirror the clean and professional brand, but have a warmth, to echo welcome and comfort, and a traditional feel, to reflect the unique character of the hotel building and location.
Balancing the contemporary with traditional, use the current logo and typeface but bring it up to date. Reflect the Victorian character in the colour scheme, typeface and design motifs but apply in a contemporary way. Use current colour of green, cream and gold with aubergine to accent with warm texture.
